Tucked almost 11,000 feet high in the Rocky Mountains, just north west of Idaho Springs, the short but stunning hike to St. Mary’s Glacier is a perfect taste of alpine Colorado. The trail climbs less than a mile through rugged evergreens and scattered boulders before revealing a breathtaking view - a shimmering lake fed by snow fields that linger year-round.
